Thank you for Making our Mission Possible

Dear Beloved Supporters of Brook of Hope Home,

I am excited to share with you the incredible work God has done through my recent five-week mission trip in Kabwe regarding Outreach Programs. Because of your faithful support and prayers, we were able to reach so many children while partnering with local churches and their Sunday School ministries.

Each Sunday, we had the privilege of leading children’s programs filled with praise songs, a puppet play about Jesus the Good Shepherd, scripture verses, joyful game and a snack. Despite Zambia’s rainy season, God graciously held off the storms each morning, allowing us to minister outdoors. With the help of translators, we shared God’s Word in both English and Bemba, ensuring every child understood the message of His love. Their joyful singing and dancing while worshiping were truly inspiring! I even taught them a few English Sunday School songs—one had us hopping like frogs and clucking like chickens (much to their delight) reminding us that we are uniquely and wonderfully made by our Creator.

Our journey took us to four churches: each with its own unique community and children eager to learn about Christ!

We were warmly welcomed by about 30 children, several of whom are part of our BHH family. It was a special joy to have Mwanse join us for the week before he begins his final medical internship. Alongside other students, he helped lead the puppet play and organize games, giving them a chance to step into leadership roles within their home church.

Makululu United Pentecostal Church

Here, we encountered an incredible Sunday School teacher who had nurtured a group of about 50 well-behaved and attentive children. Nurse Dennis and Elias, two of our team members that week, presented the puppet play in Bemba. Peter, our program manager, engaged the children with thoughtful questions, ensuring they grasped the story and made it deeply relatable

A large church downtown welcomed nearly 100 children into their program. I was happy to be able to present more directly since they all spoke English. Though the extended session was more challenging than expected, we embraced the opportunity to connect with the children. A wonderful outcome of this visit was forming a relationship with the head teacher of one of our children’s schools. She has now taken a special interest in our students and is keeping an eye on their progress—an answered prayer for us!

Emmanuel’s Church, Apostolic Faith Mission in Makululu

This church eagerly awaited our return. We were blessed to share with each child a beaded salvation bracelet. Each color in the bracelet represents a key part of the Gospel message, serving as both a personal reminder and a tool for them to share their faith with others.

God is using Brook of Hope Home not only to care for orphans and vulnerable children, but to raise young leaders spreading His word. Your support is making an eternal impact—nurturing faith, strengthening churches, and bringing children closer to Christ.

We have been invited to return to these churches, and it is our prayer that we can continue to expand our outreach and discipleship efforts. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus through your generosity and prayers. None of this would be possible without you.

May the Lord bless you abundantly for your faithfulness!
