Charles‘s Story: A Journey of Hope Restored
When 17-year-old Charles Mulenga first came to Brook of Hope Home, he had just experienced a crushing setback: failing his Grade 7 exams. Living with his grandmother and facing serious financial challenges, Charles wasn’t sure how he could ever continue his education.
But early on in 2024, everything changed.
That’s when Charles joined Brook of Hope. He was simply looking for someone to believe in him—and he found an entire community that did.
Thanks to your generous support, Charles was able to join our tutoring program. He didn’t give up. He showed up and he worked hard. And in 2025, he passed and advanced to Grade 8 at Kasanda Secondary School—with confidence, supplies, and the full support of Brook of Hope behind him.
“My hope to pursue education came alive,” Charles says.
Your donations didn’t just provide school shoes, books, or a uniform. You gave Charles something far more powerful: the courage to believe in himself again.
At Brook of Hope, Charles is now part of a loving circle where he’s learning not only academics, but also how to live with faith, kindness, and purpose.
